Globe Equipment is a family owned and operated full service restaurant supply company located in Bridgeport, CT. Since 1938, we have been striving to provide quality products and excellent service to our customers in the food service industry. Our knowledgeable staff can help with product sales and inquiries, as well as kitchen design for establishments of any size.

We have a large, modern showroom in Bridgeport that is open to the public six days a week. Our address is 300 Dewey Street, Bridgeport, CT. We are open Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, and Saturday, 9am-2pm. In our store, we stock a wide range of equipment, small wares, catering and bar supplies, paper and janitorial products, and much more. We can also ship anything you need to anywhere in the world.

Globe Equipment is an authorized Government Service Agency distributor, and has years of experience dealing with the logistics of government contracts.

To continue our growth and innovation, we have recently acquired E & A Restaurant Supply, based in New Jersey, allowing us to broaden our reach and serve more customers.

Globe Through the Years

Our History

Globe’s story began in 1938 in New York City. Brothers Sidney and David Ringelheim immigrated to the United States and began their careers in foodservice supply by buying plates on the Bowery in lower Manhattan, packing them into crates with straw, and selling them to restaurants in Connecticut, about 60 miles northeast.

After a few years, they started expanding their sales. David took orders from local restaurants around Bridgeport, CT, and Sidney drove to the Bowery each week in his station wagon to fill those orders.

By 1946, business had grown so much that they officially incorporated Globe Equipment Company, and the business has continued to grow and flourish.

In 2004, Brian Ringelheim, the third generation of Ringelheims to work at Globe, launched our ecommerce site, allowing us to reach customers across the United States and the world.

In 2016, Globe Equipment renovated and expanded their showroom, which now houses more than 10,000 products in 12,000 square feet.

The Ringelheims started this business with a clear philosophy - “Quality products, quality people, quality relationships." A lot has changed since 1938, but that philosophy remains the same.

Our employees have been with us for an average of 15+ years. We’re still family owned. When you call us, you can be confident that you're dealing with people who can get it done. Our goal is to make it so that you don't have to worry about your food service equipment and supplies. We want you to concentrate on your business and customers.
