Ice-O-Matic has changed the ice landscape with their Pearl ice. This cube is a soft nugget style cube that is great for various applications. In the bar, it takes less time to blend frozen drinks. In healthcare, it makes for an easily chewable cube. In foodservice it absorbs the drink that it is placed in, giving flavor to the cubes when being chewed. Additionally it displaces more liquid, so you give more ice and less beverage saving profits. The nature of nugget ice means less power and water consumption are required to make ice compared to standard ice machines.
